    Heather and Stacy, you have been together for about six years right? Congratulations on your first year wedding anniversary today.

    Oh? You live in a normal world, huh?

    DEFINE NORMAL.

    Let me ask you this. If MANY people of your own social classification which is homosexuals think gay marriage is an assonide act, tell me how gay marriage is normal? Be gay for all I care but you shouldn’t be dusplaying it and flaunting it like by getting married, its so perverted.

  4. blue1spiral on June 22, 2009 at 2:44 am

    I assume you meant “asinine” not “assonide” which isn’t a word… But um, I would like to know where this survey was taken of gay people who find gay marriage a bad idea. Is it kind of like that list of “scientists” who oppose evolution? lol. I mean, go on, CONVINCE ME that there are tons of gay people AGAINST gay marriage. And as far as “displaying it” ? it is what they are. Should black people wear bags over their heads to accomodate the KKK members out there???

    I agree, the only thing that can save your marriage is a cock. Stop trying to spread your deluded vision of society. The world has gone to hell in a hand basket and Californian’s are primarily to blame.

    sorry it’s been so hard for you there. It’s insane that people can get married in a drive by or a vegas chapal on a whim, but two adults in love with a health care place don’t quaifly because of an extra vagina or penis

    Sorry I didn’t see this comment until now. Jewish women can be gay. I am. And in conservative and reform Judaism can have a wedding in shul too. We chose to be in a big outdoor space. If you saw the vows and the blessings from our friends you’d see the solemnity too but it’s mostly about joy and celebration. Some day the law will catch up.

    Gay/lesbian marriage should be legal. We should have our rights. I hope that once me and my girlfriend want to get married we can get married in our own home state. Don’t give up my fellow gays! Our rights will come.

    The next thing you know they will pass a law making it legal for werewolves and the French to get married!

  14. xxxsarx on January 28, 2010 at 7:55 pm

    im so sorry for prop 8 and that your marriage isnt “legal” anymore. while i am a straight woman, i am proud to say that in my home state of CT we have legalized gay marriage! :) and to ihatetrash2007, educate your stupid, black ass.

    Disagreement is welcome but attacks and certainly threats of physical violence, which you left on my page are not.

  16. heathrgld on January 31, 2010 at 2:20 pm

    Disagreement is welome but threats of physical violence and pure attacks are not. You will be removed from comments and serve as more evidence of a need for legal protection for LGBT people.

    Sara I appreciate your support and desire to defend me from this truly hateful comments. I can understand why they’d make you really angry. But I don’t support attacking any group or racism. I want inclusion and equality for all.

    I have no problem with gay marriage with the reasoning that 2 adults who consent get married regardless of sex.

    However, my question to you is if you are a proponent of Gay marriage, you should also be a proponent polygamy?

    Since polygamy is more than 2 adults who consent to get married regardless of sex.

    Why is there such an outcry for Gay marriage rights but, no outcry for polygamy marriage?

    Just for record I am neither gay nor a polygamist just trying to understand people

    @tony9L9L
    first of all, the french are allowed to get married…?
    and werewolves aren’t real….

    I feel sorry for your Daughter

  21. TheLolbot3000 on February 21, 2010 at 12:58 am

    i think the thing is many polygamists are… a little bit different… in the head. that is why the majority believe against polygamy (i also dont know. i aint a polygamits or gay)

  22. tony9L9L on February 21, 2010 at 12:29 pm

    @zackisverybored
    …and thirdly the inhabitants of Hixville (or wherever you are from) are missing a sense of humour and fourthly the French are certainly NOT allowed to marry or reproduce- they continue to do so because they are an uncivilised , wild people who have no regard for English bylaws.

    @utdol1 I think the problem with polygamy is that in theory there is nothing wrong with it, but in practice it is too dangerous. That is, in terms of equality, there are serious doubts about the role of women (maybe gender bias to men also but I think most multiple spouses are not men). Also, most polygamist are closed communities. The worry is how do you distinguish those who actually want to be one of many wives and those who “want to” because otherwise they will be ostracized.

  25. vanillasm on March 17, 2010 at 11:00 pm

    @utdol1 one more point, same sex couples will not be allowed to marry multiple partners as well. So basically, what same sex proponents want is for the importance of SEX to be taken away from the definition of marriage. I think that is a worthwhile thing really. Same-sex unions actually elevates the status of marriage in this way; because by allowing same-sex couples to marry as well, you are saying marriage is between souls and not dependent on crude things like genitalia. – Hope this helps
